infra-thin is a blog that explores the relationship between thought and the photographic image. It takes its name from Marcel Duchamp’s notion of infra-mince, which registers the imperceptible margin of difference between two seemingly different conditions. It aims to investigate the space between the visible and invisible, absence and presence, being and knowing. infra-thin is maintained by London-based writer and researcher Lisa Stein.
